Deborah V. Thompson

Deborah has a B.S. in Environmental Studies with a concentration in plant ecology. She spent the first part of her career in the arts - obtaining a degree in Fine Binding from the American Academy of Bookbinding - and is now combining her passion for design and creativity with her knowledge of ecosystems and gardening.

She has taken classes at the Landscape Institute in Boston, The Ecological Landscape Alliance, Native Plant Trust, and the New Naturalism Academy (Kelly Norris). Certifications include Invasive Plant Management & Gardenary Garden Consultant. Hands on experience stems from an upbringing in the Adirondacks where yard work was just one of the chores - pruning trees, hauling brush, mowing pastures. She honed these skills and put her class experience to use working with landscape designers & horticulturists on the North Shore of Boston.
